The transaction was effective Dec. 31, 2021.

KPWS will be rebranded as The Kearney Companies-Savannah. David Kearney will retain his position as president of both companies and continue to be an equity owner.

In New Orleans, Kearney operates more than 500,000 square feet of warehouse capacity and 50 acres of yard served by New Orleans Public Belt Railroad. Services include commodity warehousing, barge and rail transloading, and ocean container drayage and inland freight management. The Savannah operation includes a 400,000-square-foot warehouse in Garden City, Ga., near the Georgia Port Authority Savannah Container Terminal, and manages high-volume cross-dock programs for numerous commodity suppliers.

“Combining Kearney’s expertise in warehousing with PTL’s experience in material handling expands the service products that PTL can provide to shippers,” Precision Terminal Logistics President Ray Nixon said in a press release. “Our geographic expansion offers clients additional resources and creative logistic solutions.”

Precision Terminal Logistics operates 23 terminals in 15 states. It was formed in September 2019 by Anacostia Rail Holdings and Brown Brothers Harriman Capital Partners Opportunities Fund, LP. More information is available at the PTL website.
