SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Registration is now open for the 2025 Winter Meeting of the Midwest Association of Rail Shippers, which is scheduled to include BNSF Railway CEO Katie Farmer and Surface Transportation Board Chairman Robert E. Primus as featured speakers.

The event moves this year from its longtime home in Lombard, Ill., to a new location: the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in Schaumburg, Ill.

Other featured speakers (in scheduled order of appearance) include Christina Bottomley, CSX vice president business development; Chuck Baker, president, American Short Line & Regional Railroad Association; Patrick Lortie, Canadian National senior vice president and chief strategy officer; Chris Kuehl, managing director and founder, Armada Corporate Intelligence; Brandy Christian, CEO, Patriot Rail; Jean Savage, CEO, Trinity Industries; Kenny Rocker, Union Pacific executive vice president, marketing and sales; Lawrence Gross, president and founder, Gross Transportation Consulting; and independent analyst Anthony B. Hatch.

New this year is a choice of four breakout sessions during a Wednesday time slot, including two aimed at personal development: one on goal setting and one on healthy travel choices. Also in that time slot is a Railroad 201 class and one on recruiting talent.

More information, including a link to register and one for hotel registration, is available at the MARS website. A MARS group rate at the event hotel of $164 is available until Dec. 20 or until the room block fills up.
