Savage Services logoCHICAGO — Infrastructure and supply-chain firm Savage has opened a new transload facility at Canadian Pacific’s Bensenville, Ill., yard. The CPT Chicago Transload facility offers direct access to rail lines and major highways including Interstates 290, 294, and 355, as well as State Route 390, the Elgin-O’Hare Tollway.

“We’re excited to work with CP to provide direct rail access for Chicago area businesses. Construction industry supply chains have been severely constrained, but this new transload terminal will help optimize supply chains and reduce expenses for storing and transporting lumber and building materials in the Midwest,” Savage Vice President of Business Development Dan Price said in a press release. “…  It’s great to be growing our transload business in this part of the country, benefitting local businesses and the communities they serve.”

The new facility at 415 East Green Street in Bensenville offers six acres of ground storage, as well as transloading and warehousing. More information on Savage is available at the company’s website.
