CHICAGO — Quentin Schulte has been named president of Northern Lines Railway, Anacostia Rail Holdings has announced.
Schulte has previously been the general manager of the 25-mile railroad that operates BNSF Railway trackage in the St. Cloud, Minn., area, handling more than 10,000 carloads annually. He joined the short line after 15 years with BNSF as a conductor, engineer, yardmaster, and trainmaster.
“Quentin brings a wealth of railroad operating experience to NLR, as well as a strong drive to improve safety, reliability, and customer service,” Anacostia CEO Peter Gilbertson said in a press release. “He has improved the reliability of our interchange service and on-time customer service. Additionally, Quentin has addressed back-office, sales, and marketing needs, and he oversaw the successful application for a grant from the Minnesota Rail Service Improvement Program to support track upgrades.”
Schulte, a native of St. Cloud, says his focus is on “providing positive inspiration for safe, risk-mitigating, and efficient operations.”
