SOUTH BEND, Ind. — South Shore Line commuter service, which is already busing passengers between Gary, Ind., and Michigan City while it double tracks the main line between those cities, will also be busing passengers from South Bend for 11 days beginning next week.

Buses will operate between South Bend International Airport and Gary Metro Center from May 8 to May 19 to allow for track upgrades between Michigan City and South Bend. Service to Hudson Lake, the intermediate station between Michigan City and South Bend, will be suspended during this period.

Two westbound trains (Nos. 422 and 424) and four eastbound trains (Nos. 401, 403, 701 and 703) will be cancelled during this period. Otherwise, buses will arrive and depart at times matching existing rail schedules. More information is available here.
