SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Southern California’s Arrow commuter rail service, the 9-mile line connecting Redlands to the existing Metrolink network at San Bernardino, will expand its schedule as of this Friday, Dec. 9, with the completion of Quiet Zones along the full route.

With Quiet Zones in place, weekday operation will begin more than an hour earlier than had been the case since operation began in October, with departures from San Bernardino-Downtown at 4:30 a.m. (arriving at Redlands-University at 4:52), and a 5:06 a.m. departure from the Redlands-University, arriving at San Bernardino-Downtown at 5:28 a.m. Two late trains will also be added in each direction: 8:40 p.m. and 9:46 p.m. departures from San Bernardo, and 9:09 p.m. and 10:21 p.m. departures from Redlands-University.

Weekend operations will see two additional trains both in the morning and evening, although some of the evening trains will only operate between the Redlands-Downtown and Redlands-University stations. Full schedules are available here.

Arrow trains use Stadler diesel multiple-unit trainsets. There is also one Metrolink round trip each day directly from the Redlands-Downtown station to Los Angeles without a train change in San Bernardino.
