DERBY, England — Ticket sales have resumed for Alstom’s event at its Derby factory celebrating the 200th anniversary of railroading, after initial demand crashed the servers of the third-party ticketing company.

A new company is handling the ticketing, the BBC reports.

The three-day “Greatest Gathering” event, Aug. 1-3, will open Alstom’s Litchurch Lane Works to the public for the first time in more than a half-century. It will feature a collection of more than 50 history pieces of equipment, along with rides on the factory’s test track, food, and other activities [see “Ticket demand for Alstom …,” Trains News Wire, Feb. 1, 2025].

More information, as well as tickets, are available at the Alstom website. Tickets are £30 pounds for adults and £15 for children for individual days, or £75 for adults and £35 for children for all three days.
