Trains. We love them and so do you.

That’s why we at Trains are excited to announce we will be launching an all-new, redesigned website for you in just a couple of weeks. You’ll still be able to access all the content you’ve come to love: articles on railfanning, locomotives, all things steam, and the latest about what’s going on in railroading today. But, you’ll see it presented in a fresh new design, with a site that’s easier to navigate and has faster loading times. Trains Magazine subscribers will still have open access to News Wire and other exclusive content.

But that’s not our only news! The new and improved TrainsMag.com will be part of our all-new hub, Trains.com.

Trains.com will house content from not only TrainsMag.com, but our entire family of train and modeling brands: Classic Trains, Model Railroader, Classic Toy Trains and Garden Railways. Through Trains.com, we will provide an immersive experience for anyone who loves trains: prototype, historical, modeling. It will be easy to navigate across websites to explore all our great information, how-to, news, and hobby content.

For those looking for an even deeper experience, we are pleased to announce our new Unlimited Trains.com membership plan. Trains.com Unlimited members will have access to ALL we have to offer, including our premium video series and digital archives for Trains Magazine and of our sister publications, going all the way back to issue no. 1. In addition to that and other online-exclusive content, you’ll receive discounts on items in our hobby store and the opportunity to buy tickets for special events such as photo charters and tours before we make them available to the public.

Be sure you sign up for the new Trains.com newsletter too. It’s your best source for learning about the new videos and articles we feature each week on the website.

As you take a look around and explore Trains.com, know that we’re putting the same dedication and attention into it we do for all of our print products.

  1. Haven’t visited the website for a couple of years, and I have to say what a horrible mishmash of a job the new one is. Can’t find a damn thing on it, just more and more click bait and advertising and come-on’s to subscribe. I have a complete set of Trains and Model Railroader back to the sixties, and a complete set of Classic Trains from its inception. All I really need is to be able to look up the year and issue of an article I need. (This time it was a Trains article in the 80’s on Bayview Junction in Hamilton, Ontario) It was never a problem to find on the previous(?) website with the combined searchable index. The current website is a complete waste of time. Unless you like going around and around in circles looking at hype and advertising.
