WAUKESHA, Wis. — Trains Magazine, other Kalmbach Media publications, and the Kalmbach offices will have extended closures for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays over the next two weeks, with the offices beginning the first of those closures at the end of regular business hours today (Friday, Dec. 22).
Offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25, and Tuesday, Dec. 26. Offices will be open Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 27-29, although with reduced staffing as many employees have scheduled vacation time during the short week.
The offices will also be closed Monday, Jan. 1, and Tuesday, Jan. 2, to mark the start of 2024, before resuming a regular schedule on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
Expect reduced posting on Trains News Wire during this period — in part because of reduced rail-industry activity during the holidays — although News Wire’s series of year-in-review stories will continue through Dec. 31.
