  1. Breaking News!! New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo is proposing that New York buy one block south of Penn Station to add eight more tracks so that there would be an increase of 40% of trains into New York City by the Long Island Railroad.

  2. I agree with you Elwin: I liked when the whole week was together. Next, Friday and Thursday were together and the rest of the week was at a different location. I don’t where things are this week.

  3. Where is the rest of “Newswire”? Is this the new format? If it is, what was wrong with the old format? Sorry, but I do not read this website every day. Believe it or not, I have other things to do other than sit on my computer every day. I will have even more time to do those other things after I discontinue subscribing to “Trains”!

  4. While Big Boy was news, the downturn in traffic was the biggest story of the year. Cutting employment to offset lost business while ignoring opportunities to increase business is tragic.

  5. How about an article on what the Class 1’s marketing (assuming that they have one) departments are doing to grow traffic?
