  1. Anybody remember when Penn Central showed Congress a film of the PC derailment in a yard?
    Or Santa Fe standing derailment.
    Speaks volumes about track maintenance.

    1. I’m sure a yard track derail in Pocatello, Ideeho is enough to embargo the entire northwest plus Utah, Wyoming, Nevada and Northern California… Heck why not embargo the whole “Left” Coast why you are add it and halve your daily operating ratio…

“Un Performing;” You got that right!

    1. In my experience, it’s quite an achievement derailing 25 cars in the yard. Four or maybe, I once managed eleven. But 25, that really is noteworthy.

    2. I agree with Clarence Copple. Its hard and rare to derail 25 cars in the yard. Course, it doesn’t say if it was a yard track or the mainline thru the yard. To derail 25 cars it either takes speed or a lot of inattention, usually.
