Remember that train scene you saw last night on television, or last weekend at the movie theater? There’s a good chance California’s Fillmore & Western Railway played a role in it. Since the 1990s, this 29-mile short line and excursion railroad just north of Los Angeles has been hosting Hollywood movie and TV production companies.

Trains Magazine brings you the complete story of Fillmore & Western’s Hollywood success in our May 2013 issue. You’ll see behind-the-scenes photos — like the image above, made during the filming of the movie “Water for Elephants” — hear tales of some of the railroad’s most memorable on-screen appearances, and learn how you can ride the line. Plus you’ll see rosters of the railroad’s unique collection of locomotives, freight cars, and passenger cars.

For a complete list of the railroad’s 400-plus movie, TV, and advertising credits (we’re sure you’ll have seen one or two these), download PDF below.
