17. 4400-series numbers distinguish these as Tier 3 from previous 4300-series units. Nos. 4400-4403 weigh 420,000 lbs and are assigned to road service, while 4300s weigh 428,000 lbs and are assigned to helper service.
18. Model previously identified as E3000B in 2011-2012 charts, but builders plate reads “1100 Class.” Railroad presviously listed as QUBE, but builders plate reads “POTA” which is P&O Trans Australia. Qube owns POTA.

  1. Although this list does not cover tier 4 production; it is sad to hear that the new "EMD" will not be producing production locomotives until 2017. My father in law worked for the real EMD's 103rd st. plant in Chicago producing the famous bulldog cabs and finished his career at LaGrange ill.
    Of course things change just as EMC left Cleveland for Illinois; but it is kind of sad that not only cannot EMD compete with GE during regular times; that even when owned by CAT. they cannot come up with a clean engine in time for 2014 production. Unbelievable .
