I use Tinkercad and the FDM printer. Print out a cylinder with a hole and set it in place. The way the the plastic is in the FDM you do not need to TAP the hole if you print it to the correct size. you also do not need to glue as the screw acts like a wedge and locks the insert into place.
FYI: I also print stand offs for circuit boards or mounting objectson the layout that do not or can not be flush mounted to the benchwork/frame. Same object as a above a cylinder with a hole in it 🙂
