Along with cake and cordial conversations amongst railfans from both operations, Quad CEO Joel Quadracci presented Kalmbach Media CEO Dan Hickey with the plates used to bring the 1,000-theme publication to life. As noted, 1,000 issues is rare feat for one publication, let alone another publication (Model Railroader magazine) — which Quad also printed!
