Sometimes more than trains arrive at the depot on model railroad layouts! Here’s a short preview scene of a bus arriving at Maryville Depot, from a video currently in production. Being very new to Stop Motion filming, this was a test and there are a few flaws.

This preview also showcases very recent (and yet unpublished) renovations, additional buildings and structures, more robust landscaping, and the result of nearly finishing off the “punch list” of little things “almost” finished — all part of transitioning the layout’s era back-in-time to 1955.

For the technically interested, this was filmed with an iPad2, a Galaxy S5 phone, and a GoPro 3, simultaneously from three different camera angles and produced at 12 frames per second. A video of “how to film this” is also in production.
