Watch the new Trains.com Workshop Webcam! Trains.com members will have this unique window to peer into our efforts, as we build out and build within an all-new workshop space. This is where you’ll see staff from Model Railroader, Classic Toy Trains, and other publications making models, testing new products, and otherwise honing their craft!
The Trains.com Workshop Webcam is active 24/7, but staff does eventually head home…to model some more, of course! Occasionally, we might also offer pre-recorded video from the cam or from other Trains.com Video productions. While we do not provide audio with this feed, we do monitor for inquiries and remarks recorded in the Comments field below.
Will there be a possible connection to the Beer Line or the FreeMo project layouts?
If your thinking about doing DCC switches with NCE, super easy to set up and operate.
Have been enjoying watching the progression on the layout project. And I am glad to see the first of the videos. Just curious – you mentioned the horizontal dimensions, but what is the height of the layout? Thanks!!
You guys are having way too much fun 🙂
Bryson – hope you had a good drive home from Amherst
So I gather you are laying out the track plan and structure placement on the 4×8 sheet so you can cut pieces to fit before installing on the benchwork?
It was a prep day for David on Wednesday. But tomorrow, it’ll be lights, camera, and ACTION for most of the day… see ya there!
David,
Looks like a one man show today! Keep up the great work!
Jesse
Hi guys. Just to let you know, we’ll be working regularly on Wednesday through Fridays through much of the winter. Enjoy the show and leave us a comment if you’re watching. – David
The master at work – what a productive afternoon David! A one man show.
Hi, Artie… Our current webcam feed (via YouTube) is restricted to 24/7 livestream — no replay option or ability to resize image. However, you will find that this Trains.com page DOES allow for members to submit comments — so keep ’em coming!
INSIDER TIP! Our 2025 MR Project Layout construction schedule has Thursday and Friday as primary work days… stay tuned for announcements/promotion in early February!
Thanks Kent for the info
Afternoon – quick question – we use to be able to watch previous webcam recordings from the workshop – is that no longer the case? It appears to be just a live stream 24×7
Thanks,
Artie
Ok, I like what I’m seeing, but I would like to see a larger picture as I was able to get before you moved, is that going to be a possibility in the future?
Watch it on Youtube.
OK… Am I seeing a modular layout being built without wheels??? That not the Trains way lol.
Looking forward to seeing new projects in the works
Oh, we are Santa’s elves…We work hard all day…But our work is play….
