Wiring and cab window diagrams for Larry Naus’ story in the June 2016 Model Railroader.
Larry Naus didn’t want to give up anything when he decided to build a pair of HO scale battery-powered Geeps. The models use radio control and include Digital Command Control (DCC) with sound and full lighting effects.

Battery power for locomotives in HO scale has been an area of interest that continues to grow in model railroading. Large scale modelers have been using battery power on their layouts, both indoors and out, for years. These illustrations accompany the story “Battery power without compromises” in the June 2016 Model Railroader

The wiring  diagram shows the connections for all of the electronic components in Larry Naus’s battery-powered Athearn Genesis GP-15s.

The window installation diagram shows the process Larry Naus used to install windows made from glass microscope slide covers. Larry milled the cab castings to accept the windows.
